![]() ![]() The acknowledgements section in the back of the book made me even happier after I had finished. 10/10 would recommend to a friend- and even a stranger! At a little over 350 pages, it's a decent book, but in my busy life and reputation for slow reading, I finished this one in less than 3 weeks unable to put it down. I found myself extremely emotionally attached to these characters, and audibly going "oh no!" Or "oh yes!!" While reading it in public. I would have never picked this book up on my own but I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys action and unforseeable plot twists. This story is a fantastic blend of outdoorsman knowledge, justice, some historical fiction, and the problems associated with government bureaucracy. The story follows Game Warden Joe Pickett in Wyoming, and a grusome murder that unfolds in his jurisdiction. ![]() It's the 3rd book (I think) in a series of more than 10 and I will immediately pick up the first book later today. ![]() However this story was an excellent read. From first impressions it looked like a book you would find in an airport or grocery store. ![]() This book was mailed to me by my uncle after he heard that I wanted to pursue a more"outdoor oriented" career path. ![]()
